DAWSON -- Bailey Carlson of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg scored a layup off of a Dawson-Boyd turnover to lift the Fighting Saints to a 62-60 win in Camden North girls basketball action Friday.
KMS trailed by two with about 45 seconds left and tied the game after the Blackjacks missed two free throws on a layup. The Saints forced a turnover and Carlson gave KMS the win. Carlson finished with 12 points.
Steph Stassen paced KMS with 21 points, followed by Sarah Carlson with 13 and Demi Young with 12.
Kristen Lee scored a game-high 25 points to lead Dawson-Boyd. She also sank five 3-pointers. Kelly Swenson added 17 points.
