Girls Basketball: Litchfield surges past D-C

COKATO -- Litchfield came back from a 15-point deficit in the second half to beat Dassel-Cokato, 67-61, in Wright County Conference girls basketball Friday.

The Dragons completed the 21-point turnaround slowly in the second half, first by switching to a 2-3 zone defense to stop Dassel-Cokato's dominance in the paint. The Chargers' Amy Peterson scored 15 of her 17 points in the first half.

Slowly, Litchfield chipped away at the lead, trailing by four points with two minutes left.

Jamie Wollin scored a game-high 23 points for the Dragons. Courtney Euerle posted a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Angie Euerle scored 14 points.
