Girls Basketball: LQPV dumps YME

MADISON -- Lac qui Parle Valley improved to 4-0 in the West Central South conference girls basketball race with a 63-43 win over Yellow Medicine East Monday.

The Eagles (8-5), who will host BOLD tonight, stymied the Sting defense in the first half, allowing just 14 points.

Kayla Rheingans posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace LQPV. Madeline Gail scored a game-high 16 points and Micaela Erickson had eight steals.

Livi Jeseritz scored nine points and grabbed nine boards for YME (1-4, 1-9), which travels to Montevideo tonight.
