RENVILLE -- MACCRAY held off Renville County West 49-47 Thursday behind Hilary Groothuis' 21 points to stay on top of the Camden North Conference.

MACCRAY and Lakeview, 55-30 winners over Central Minnesota Christian, both improved to 8-2 in the conference, the same mark as idle Dawson-Boyd.

Groothuis capped the scoring with a free throw in the closing seconds. Renville County West (4-7, 10-8) had the game's final possession, but couldn't get off a shot.

Megan Groen scored a game-high 26 points to keep the Jaguars close.

While junior post April Hansen and senior forward Tiffany Gruber were notching double-doubles for BBE, senior post Jeana Radermacher was putting on a stellar defensive performance.

Hansen finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Gruber notched 11 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Radermacher, meanwhile, limited Maple Lake's Molly Schaufler to 10 points, 21 less than she had against BBE two weels ago in Maple Lake.
