MORRIS -- Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta held off a late run from Montevideo to remain unbeaten in West Central South Conference girls basketball action, 53-49, Friday.
After a 28-21 lead, the Tigers (5-0, 9-1) had to withstand four 3-pointers from the Thunder Hawks -- three from Shelby Monahan and one from Brooke Tastad -- as the lead slipped to three.
Megan Dierks paced the Tigers with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Monahan had 13 points for the Thunder Hawks (3-4, 3-8). Beka Schwendemann added 10 points. Karrissa Larson had eight points and eight rebounds.
