Girls Basketball: Morris/Chokio-Alberta keeps pace in WC South

The Tigers improved to 7-2 in the conference, but co-leaders Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and Lac qui Parle Valley stayed one step ahead at 7-1 by also winning Friday.

Jasmine Henrich had a game-high 13 points for the Tigers as seven other players scored at least five points.

Brook Moseng led Montevideo, which trailed the entire game, with 11 points.

Mindy Clark paced the Eagles (7-1, 12-5) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Madeline Gail added 10 points and six rebounds.

For Benson (2-6, 6-9), Brittany Holm tossed in 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and made four steals.

Yellow Medicine East (1-8. 1-13) had 12 players score despite getting only 30 points. Abbey Olson led with seven points.
