GLENWOOD -- New London-Spicer's Renae Henjum sank a pair of free throws with 1:35 left, giving the Wildcats the lead for good in a 38-37 West Central North Conference win over Minnewaska Area Tuesday night.
Minnewaska (7-5, 11-8) had the ball the rest of the way, but missed on two shots that could have won it.
Henjum's charity tosses finalized NLS' 25-10 second half, after the Wildcats (10-2, 18-6) trailed 27-13 at halftime. She finished with 23 points.
The Wildcats outrebounded Minnewaska 33-21. Cassidy Vogt pulled down 13 rebounds for the Wildcats and Jenn Wendlandt nine.
Lindsay Solmonson led the Lakers with 14 points, followed by Shiona Beecher with 11.
