NEW LONDON -- The New London-Spicer Wildcats beat Morris/Chokio-Alberta 75-48 to pick up their 19th win on Monday.

Karli Wendlandt with 16 points and Justine Dammermann with 11 led the 12 players who scored for NLS.

The Wildcats sprang to a 27-2 lead against the Tigers, who struggled mightily to get the ball upcourt against the patented NLS full-court trap. When they did make it to the vicinity of the basket, their shots fell off the rim.

Three late three-pointers got the Tigers into double figures before the half ended, 36-13.

The Tigers regrouped in the second half to score 35 points. Scoring was balanced with Heather Gagner's three 3s giving her nine points, followed by Megan Dierks with eight and Kelly Ritter and Kelsey Draper with seven each. Jenna Nelson made five assists.

Wendlandt, Cassie Ziemer and Trista Norris combined for 29 of the NLS' 44 rebounds.

The Wildcats play another cross-over game in the West Central Conference at Benson tonight.
