NEW LONDON -- Jenn Wendlandt had 15 points and seven rebounds to help New London-Spicer rally past Melrose Thursday in its West Central North Conference finale, 40-39.
Melrose (4-8, 8-12) had the lead for most of the second half until the Wildcats (11-3, 19-7) took control with a couple of minutes remaining.
New London-Spicer made only 12 of 38 field-goal attempts, but Melrose shot only 29 percent from the field. Cassidy Vogt had six points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Wildcats.

Albany wrapped up its 13th West Central North Conference title by finishing 14-0 in the loop. The Huskies (22-1) trailed by one at halftime before outscoring Minnewaska (8-6, 13-9) 22-13 in the second half.
Sara Gregerson had 10 points to pace a balanced attack for the Lakers. Ashley Chan grabbed 10 rebounds.
