NEW LONDON -- With Renae Henjum scoring 19 points and Jenn Wendlandt following with 17, New London-Spicer won its fifth straight after beating former West Central South Conference rival Montevideo 58-29 Tuesday in non-conference action.
Montevideo (6-10) got within 13-10 with seven minutes remaining in the first half before the Wildcats (15-6) closed out the half with a 15-4 run. New London-Spicer then outscored the Thunder Hawks by 15 in the second half.
Henjum also notched 11 rebounds and five blocks for the Wildcats. Taylor Skoglund paced a balanced attack for Montevideo with 12 rebounds and nine points.

Esther Peterson netted a season-high 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Fighting Saints, who limited LQPV to just 10 field goals, six of which were from three-point range.
Mindy Clark had 22 points and seven steals and Kayla Rheingans had nine points and eight rebounds for the Eagles.
