RENVILLE -- Renville County West dominated the boards and the free-throw line to beat Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, 63-48, in Camden North girls basketball Friday.
The Jaguars trailed 27-25 at halftime. They outrebounded the Fighting Saints, 46-22, and made more shots from the charity stripe (21), than KMS had attempts (18). RCW made its last 12 free throws.
Megan Groen scored 19 points to lead the Jaguars. She also had nine rebounds. Megan Erickson followed with 16 points and five assists. Kortney Mulder pulled down 11 rebounds.
Steph Stassen recorded a game-high 20 points for KMS. She also had eight rebounds. Sarah Carlson scored 12 points and had five assists.

Everyone that suited up for MACCRAY played and scored as the Wolverines improved to 3-1 in the conference. Ashley Beseman (14 points) was the only player to score in double figures for MACCRAY, which had 11 players score at least three points.
Dana Rhoda grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, Annie Winter handed out five assists and piled up three steals, and Beseman blocked four shots for the Wolverines.
Greta Evink had 13 points and Erin Erickson pulled down 11 rebounds for the Bluejays (0-4, 1-4). Briana Wubben had nine points.
