CLARA CITY -- The MACCRAY Wolverines came from behind to defeat Montevideo 61-54 and finish the schedule 17-6 on Tuesday.
MACCRAY trailed by 10 with 7:00 on the clock in the second half. A press ignited the comeback. A Christine Condon free throw with just under two minutes left put MACCRAY (17-6) in the lead for the first time in a long while.
The Wolverines crashed the boards for 47 rebounds. Tory Brouwer contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds, Hilary Groothuis nine points and 12 rebounds, and Kari Caspers 12 points and 11 rebounds. Danielle Goeman was high scorer with 16 points.
Hannah Wenaas, a 5-6 sophomore guard, cashed four 3-pointers, and finished with 15 points for the Thunder Hawks (6-14). Brook Moseng added 11 points, Taylor Skoglund 10 points, plus eight rebounds, and Rikka Boike nine points. Kara Nelson chipped in with eight rebounds and four assists.
Montevideo led 26-25 at halftime.

April Hansen recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for BBE. Tiffany Gruber added 14 points and six assists, Emily Roelike scored 10 points and Ashley Nelson grabbed 10 rebounds.
