Girls Basketball: Torrid shooting lifts ACGC, 83-63

GROVE CITY -- The Falcons shot 57 percent and six players reached double figures as Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City dropped Litchfield 83-63 on Tuesday in non-conference girls basketball.

Kayla Dallman's 20 points led the way. Lauren Kinzler and Liberty Slinden each added 14, while Kathy Lamecker, Steph Nelson and Miranda Hopp all ended up with 10.

Kinzler hit three 3-pointers as the team downed 6-of-8 attempts. Slinden and Dallman combined for 18 rebounds.

Jamie Wollin led the Dragons with a game-high 25 points. Angie Euerle was next with 11.

Macy McKay made two free throws with 11 seconds left to lift the Sting to the victory, but not until Redwood Valley's last-second shot rolled off the rim.

YME (15-6) trailed 35-26 at halftime, then tied the game with about eight minutes remaining.

McKay and Aimee Johnson paced the Sting with 13 points each. Stina Leiseth scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
