GLENWOOD -- Minnewaska's strong first half pushed the Lakers to a 52-38 win over Sauk Centre in Section 6AA-West girls basketball action Tuesday.

Minnewaska (14-10) held a 25-13 lead at halftime and outrebounded the Mainstreeters (9-17) 27-19.

Lindsay Solmonson led three Lakers in double figures with 15. Shiona Beecher added 13 and Ashley Chan had 12.

Becky Smith came up with eight of Litchfield's 33 steals. Brittany Euerle had seven steals and Jamie Wollin five.

Eleven players scored for the Dragons, who will face No. 2 Worthington in the semifinals Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

Euerle netted a game-high 16 points with Wollin following with 13. Emily Davis added 12 points while Euerle also handed out eight assists.

After splitting the regular-season series, No. 2 seed Lincoln HI (15-11) got the best of No. 3 Dawson-Boyd (18-7) to move into the sub-section final.

Top seed Lakeview, the Camden North Conference champion, fell to No. 5 Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 53-47 on Tuesday as well. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton had to play a pigtail game in order to get into the quarterfinals.
