LITCHFIELD -- Watertown-Mayer limited Litchfield to 32 percent shooting from the field and got 17 points from Laura Parochka as the Royals beat Litchfield 51-41 in the Wright County Conference Friday.
The Royals (11-3, 21-5) owned a five-point lead at halftime and never looked back in the second half. Litchfield (10-4, 19-7) got within two in the second half, but poor shooting hindered the Dragons' chances of putting together a rally.
Emily Davis with 11 points was the only Litchfield player to score in double figures. Becky Smith, the team's leading scorer averaging 15.3 ppg, was held to eight points, but did amass seven rebounds and five steals.
