COLD SPRING -- Jenn Wendlandt, a junior forward, scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Renae Henjum had another double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to help New London-Spicer win its fourth straight after upending Rocori 40-33 in a non-conference game Tuesday.
The Wildcats owned a 20-15 lead at halftime before holding on to improve their overall record to 5-1. The Wildcats outrebounded Rocori (1-4) 31-25 while shooting only 32 percent from the field.
Cassidy Vogt piled up eight rebounds and four steals for New London-Spicer, which was 12-for-15 at the free-throw line. The Spartans cashed in one free throw after making only two trips to the charity stripe.
Ellary Asche made four free throws in the last minute to ice the win.
