WILLMAR -- Behind four goals and three assists from junior forward Katelyn Dold, St. Cloud Tech upended Willmar 8-2 in a Central Lakes Conference girls hockey game Tuesday.
Dold scored the game's first two goals 23 seconds apart before sophomore forward Ashley Hutton got the Cardinals (1-3, 2-4) on the board at 12:56 of the first period.
Willmar trailed 2-1 after one period, but gave up two shorthanded goals and a third goal on a shot from the point that deflected off a Cardinal for a 5-1 Tech lead.
"Tech was by far our toughest test," said coach Rick Dahle, "We needed a few breaks against a good team like that and didn't get many. But the girls skated hard to the net."
Sarah Hulscher got Willmar's other goal.
