ST. CLOUD -- Junior forward Katelyn Dold scored a pure hat trick in the first period to start St. Cloud Tech on the way to a 7-0 victory over Willmar at the National Hockey Center on Thursday in Central Lakes Conference girls hockey.
The Tigers outshot the Cardinals 37-15.
Willmar had problems adjusting to the Olympic-sized ice sheet on the St. Cloud State campus. The Cardinals had some good chances but couldn't solve Tech goalie Nikki Kassa.
Annie Green added a goal and three assists and Jessica Dhein three assists.
Abby Schueller turned away 30 shots in goal for Willmar.

The Stars (6-5, 8-9-1) took a 1-0 lead after Jenn Paul's unassisted powerplay goal in the first period, but the Icebreakers (6-5, 11-9) put in four straight goals to win the game.
