SAUK RAPIDS -- Willmar avoided being shut out when Karis Rogers scored with three seconds left in the match as the Cardinals fell 3-1 to Sauk Rapids in the Central Lakes Conference Thursday.
Rogers was on a "semi-breakaway" when she slipped the ball past the Storm defense and sprinted ahead to retrieve the ball and place it in the lower left corner of the net.
Sauk Rapids netted its three goals in a 10-minute span midway through the first half.
