ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Tech did all the scoring in the second half to hang a 4-0 defeat on the Willmar girls soccer team on Tuesday.
The Tigers outshot the Cardinals 13-5 in the Central Lakes curtainraiser for both teams.
"We stayed with them for one half before they pulled away," said coach Doug Rossum. "But we played extremely well. I'm looking forward to playing them again."
Willmar is 0-3, including a 3-0 loss at Mankato East on Saturday. Katelyn Dold scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half for a 2-0 Tigers lead. Keeper Callie Nelsen had 14 saves for Willmar.
