WORTHINGTON -- Willmar got goals late in each half as the Cardinals blanked Worthington 2-0 in a non-conference match Thursday.
Hannah Murphy put the ball in the upper left corner of the net in the 36th minute on a penalty kick to give Willmar (5-5-2) a 1-0 lead.
Ali Sing then netted an insurance goal with just under three minutes left in regulation.
Willmar outshot the Trojans 13-9 and Cardinals' goalie Chelsey Weirschem made six saves.
The Cardinals are at New Ulm on Monday.
