SARTELL -- Senior Hannah Okins and sophomores Ariel Johnson and Ashley Johnson won their matches Tuesday for Willmar, but the Cardinals fell 5-2 to Sartell in their Central Lakes Conference opener.
Having played only two previous matches since its season opener on Aug. 25, Willmar (0-1, 0-3) hasn't been able to find a groove. The Cardinals were scheduled to play at the Litchfield Quadrangular on Monday, but rain cancelled the event.
Willmar managed to win one match at both singles and doubles -- Okins at 4-singles over Alyssa Anderson and the Johnsons at 3-doubles over Jill Letness and Jenny Stellacy.
The Cardinals host Buffalo in a non-conference dual on Thursday.
