COLD SPRING -- Rocori ended Willmar's three-match win streak in girls tennis squeaking out a 4-3 win in a Central Lakes Conference dual.
With the team score tied 3-3, Willmar's Katie Switzer and Rocori's Mandi Nierenhausen battled into a third set at 1-singles. Nierenhausen jumped up 3-0, but Switzer hit her way back to cut the Spartan's lead to 5-4.
But Nierenhausen held serve to win 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 for the decisive point.
Willmar points came from Carrie Boike and Kayli Gimse, who won in straight sets at 3- and 4-singles, and at 3-doubles where Megan Rudie-Betsy Vomacka won 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4.
Willmar (3-5, 4-9) hosts Little Falls in its final regular season home match on Thursday.
