GLENWOOD -- Gladys Mathilda Pettit, 86, of Glenwood died Tuesday at the Glenwood Retirement Village.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood United Parish. Burial will be at the West Lake Amelia Cemetery in Villard.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

She was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Cornell, Iowa, to Harry and Ellen (Barglof) Searcy. She grew up and attended school in Villard.
She married Roy Pettit on Aug. 17, 1940, in Glenwood. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children: Doug (and JoAnn) Pettit of Benson, Marlys (and Owen) Anderson of Pennock; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Richard (and Millie) Searcy of Bloomington and Millie Glomsrud of Orlando, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; infant daughter: Diane; and five brothers.
