MILAN -- Glen C. Kanten, 91, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Milan, died Oct. 19 at Our House Assisted Living in River Falls.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at Rush River Lutheran Church in rural River Falls. Burial will be at Rush River Lutheran Church cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services in River Falls, Wis.

He was born Aug. 13, 1915, in Milan to Gilbert and Anna (Severson) Kanten. He graduated from the University of Minnesota.

He married Viola Friberg in 1941, in Minneapolis. He managed dairy processing plants for Land 'O' Lakes, Pillsbury and Ralston Purina. He owned and operated the Circle K Orchard in Beldenville for 25 years.

He served on the REA board in Pierce County, was a member of Rush River Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge in River Falls, and the Lions Club.

He is survived by his children: Glenise (and Gary) Beltz of White Bear Lake, Tom (and Melody) Kanten of Baldwin, Wis., Steve Kanten of Park City, Utah; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Arlene Berks of Portland, Ore., and Floyd (and Waunita) Kanten of Milan.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and one brother.
