WILLMAR -- Glen Lee "Speed" Parson, 80, of Willmar died Monday at Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at the Svea Lutheran Cemetery in Svea.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
He was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Whitefield Township, Kandiyohi County. He grew up in the Svea area and attended District 55 School. He moved to the Faribault area. He returned to the Willmar area in 1963. He worked for the City of Willmar at the police department. He retired in 1992.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a former member of the Willmar Eagles Club and a volunteer at Infinia Care Center.
He is survived by several cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a half brother.
