WATSON -- Glen Russell Evanskaas, 81, of rural Appleton died Tuesday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Watson Lutheran Church in Watson. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Watson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born April 30, 1925, near Big Bend in Chippewa County to Alvin and Lillian (Paulson) Evenskaas. He attended rural school through the eighth grade at District 52. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 as a heavy equipment operator and served time in Korea. He then farmed. He moved south of Appleton in 1958 and purchased his farm in 1973. He farmed until he retired.
He is survived by two sisters: Vione (and LeRoy) Leitz of Benson, Lorraine Tubbs (and Willard Freeman) of Montevideo; and three nieces.
