WILLMAR -- Madison native Brent Gloege, who now resides in Fargo, N.D., captured the Men's Open title of the Rice Classic Tennis Tournament this past weekend, beating Willmar native Kyle Rice of Chaska 3-6, 6-0, 10-8.
Gloege, who was second in the New London-Spicer tournament July 25, teamed up with Chad Schmiesing of Spicer to win the Men's Open Doubles crown, too.
Michelle Bailey, a senior-to-be at Winona State, beat Willmar's Megan Wrobel, a junior-to-be at College of St. Benedict 6-3, 6-3 in the Women's Open final.
Kristine Reimer and Brittany Templin of Foley were the Women's Open Doubles winner.
Keith Gordon and Trisha Baldwin won the Mixed Doubles title.
