Minnesota forward Jamie Broback, a top returning scorer and rebounder for the Gophers, is taking a leave of absence from the team for personal reasons, the school announced Wednesday.
Broback, a 6-3 junior from Apple Valley, averaged 14.4 points per game last season. The school didn't say when she might rejoin the team.
