WATERVILLE -- Gordon W. Larson, 85, of Waterville died Wednesday at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home of Waterville.
He was born May 30, 1922, in Kandiyohi County, to Laurence and May (Stene) Larson. He attended school in the New London and Willmar areas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, and was in the 56th Armored Infantry Battalion of the 12th Armored Division in the European Theater.

He married Geraldine Bartle on March 4, 1946, in Waterville. He had a home insulation business. In 1958, he started Larson's Soft Water Inc., which he owned and operated for 30 years.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville and the Knights of Columbus, where he was grand knight. He was also a member of the Waterville VFW, where he served as commander in 1965, 1966 and 1977, the Waterville Sportsmans Club, and the country club in Kenyon.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter: Juilee (and Tom) Short of Elysian; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers: Roger (and Blanche) Larson of New London, Weldon (and Beulah) Larson and Richard (and Betty) Larson all of Willmar; and one sister: Helen Johnson of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
