WILLMAR — The Willmar School Board is expected to vote to extend an expiring operating levy at its meeting Monday.

Due to changes in law since the referendum was approved 10 years ago, the board is able to approve some of the levy without voter approval, and will ask voters to approve the remaining $45.10 per pupil unit in the Nov. 6 election.

The board meets at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the first floor board room in Willmar Education and Arts Center.

The board will also hear a report on Vision 2040 from Ken Warner, president of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
