WILLMAR — The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the boardroom at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building.

The council will consider approval of a variety of items, ranging from an architect to design a new curling facility to the purchase of new Police Department vehicles, a facility use agreement between the city and Willmar Public Schools and the 2019 street improvements final budgets. The council also will consider reallocating funds to purchase baseball equipment and appropriating funds for a Willmar Industrial Park gas line.

A few items connected to the Willmar Wye railroad bypass construction project will be considered including rescinding a land purchase ordinance and approving a borrow-option purchase agreement with Hoffman Team, as well as approving an amendment to the purchase and sale agreement with BNSF Railway Company. The council will also consider adopting the preliminary budget for the utility relocation needed as part of the project.

Participation in the National Flood Insurance Program will be considered and a public hearing set.

The council will also consider awarding a bid for the four-season shelter at Robbins Island and reallocating funds for the project.
