WILLMAR — The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting was moved to Tuesday due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The meeting will be held remotely using GoTo Meeting.
A public hearing will be held on the 2021 Street and Other Improvements report. Public wishing to speak during the hearing can call in at 320-335-7135. The area code must be dialed.
Following the public hearing the council will consider a resolution ordering the improvements and advertising for bids.
Also on the agenda is a resolution to approve the sale of $5 million in general obligation sales tax bonds for local options sales tax projects and amending the agreement with Bolton and Menk for Robbins Island improvements.
The council will also consider approving several policies that are required as part of the ongoing 2019 Small Cities Development program and must be passed before the city will receive funding. The mandated policies and plans include a fair housing plan, relocation plan and policy that prohibits the use of excessive force by law enforcement during nonviolent civil rights demonstrations.
