GRANITE FALLS -- Lagrant Velde of Granite Falls was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for treatment of injuries sustained in a car crash Monday.
According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, Velde's vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree along County Road 39, about a half-mile west of State Highway 23, around 6:20 p.m. Monday. He was transported to Granite Falls Hospital and then flown out to HCMC.
Assisting were the Granite Falls fire, police and ambulance.
