SISSETON, S.D. - A Granite Falls, Minn., woman has been identified as the victim in a one-vehicle fatal rollover that occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 29 near the South Dakota-North Dakota border.
Killed in the crash was Marrisa Mountain, 23, who was a passenger in the 2007 Ford Crew Cab that was southbound about 1:30 a.m. on the interstate, left the road and eventually rolled.
Mountain was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene about 17 miles north of Sisseton..
Gerald Iron Cloud, 28, of Porcupine, S.D., who faces charges in the crash, was the driver. He suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Fargo hospital.
Neither person was wearing a seatbelt.
South Dakota's Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
