Gregory F. Karger

ALEXANDRIA -- Gregory Francis Karger, 58, of Alexandria, formerly of Willmar, died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at St. Donatus Catholic Cemetery in Brooten.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born April 20, 1948, in Alexandria to Rita and Erwin Karger. He graduated from Brooten High School in 1967. He moved to Willmar where he started his own television repair shop, Doug's TV, which he owned and operated for 25 years. He started Midwest Programming Service in 2001 and developed software for businesses in the surrounding area. He moved to Alexandria in 2004.
He married Karen Byers on June 23, 2006, in Milbank, S.D. They lived in Alexandria.
He was the editor of the Lakes Region Harley Owner Group Newsletter from Apol's in Raymond.
He is survived by his wife; son: Bryan Karger of St. Cloud; stepdaughters: Amy (and Jason) Hulstein of Willmar, Stacy (and Jim) Freeland of St. Michael; five grandchildren; his parents of Brooten; and his siblings: Gerald (and Sharon) Karger of Glenwood, Sandy Baker of Brooten, Maylinda (and Gary) Reed of Glenwood, Barbara (and Terrance) Kopka of St. Cloud, Rick (and Linda) Karger of Belgrade, Don (and Carmen) Karger of Goodhue, Anthony (and Connie) Karger of Paynesville, Patrick (and Wendy) Karger of Paynesville, and Melissa (and John) Barton of Bosier, La.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
