Late Saturday result
LITCHFIELD -- Litchfield's Megan Lundin took advantage of being at home to win the all-around title at the Section 6A gymnastics meet Saturday.
Melrose beat the Dragons for the team title, 140.925-137.0.
Lundin also took first in the floor exercise with a 9.525 and finished the day with a combined score of 35.75, beating Wendy Toops of New London-Spicer and Briquelle Bowden of Paynesville. Lundin also qualified individually in the vault, placing second (9.175).
Toops, who finished with a 35.675 all-around score, won the balance beam with a 9.35. Bowden won the uneven bars with an 8.825.

Others to qualify for the state meet, which will be held Friday and Saturday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, are Michele Hanson of Benson/KMS in the vault and balance beam, and Gina Bruns of NLS, took third in the floor exercise.
The top four finishers in each apparatus advance to the state meet, along with the top four in the all-around. However, all-around competitors cannot place in individual events in which they did not qualify for.
