MORRIS -- All four of New London-Spicer's all-around performers finished in the top seven Saturday as the Wildcats clinched the West Central Conference tournament title.
New London-Spicer already captured its first conference title with a 5-0 dual record. This is also the Wildcats' first conference tournament title.
"We had a great day on vault," said New London-Spicer gymnastics coach "Cindy Jacobson. "We had a couple of falls and we need to clean up our bars a little, but the girls performed very well."
The Wildcats had 140.925 points, their second-highest total of the season, and dethroned Melrose, who was second with 137.45.
New London-Spicer is now considered the favorite in the upcoming section meet and a win there would send the team to the state tournament for the first time.

Jacki Imdieke was third all-around for th wWildcats with a 35.325. Wendy Toops had a season-best 35.20 for fourth all-around. Courtney Edwards was sixth with a 34.70 and Gina Bruns seventh with 34.55.
Alexa Score, who has been battling a form of cancer and taking oral chemotherapy, competed in just her fourth conference meet of the season and was third on beam and fifth on vault for the Wildcats.
