WILLMAR -- Tuning up for Saturday's Central Lakes Conference gymnastics meet, Willmar fell a little less than a point short of topping Melrose, 137.85-136.925, in non-conference action Thursday.
The Cardinals had a full squad before the dual started, but Ashley Delp injured her hand in warm-ups and didn't compete.
Annalise Bratt won the all-around title with a 35.825. Kelsey Jacobson was third with a 35.2 and Bethany Pollock was fourth with a 32.9. Jacobson placed first in the vault with a 9.25 and tied for first on the balance beam at 8.95 with Briana Rueter of Melrose.
The CLC meet will be held at Sartell at 1 p.m.
