ELK RIVER -- Willmar's Caitlin Cooreman finished ninth in the all-around, but failed to qualify for the state meet in any events Saturday at the Section 8AA tournament.
Cooreman posted a combined 34.85 from four events. Her highest finish individually was seventh on vault with a 9.3.
Also finishing all four events for the Cardinals were Bethany Pollock (32.925), Brooke Barrett (28.5) and Jessica Wanner (27.6).
"The girls were much improved from our conference meet," said Willmar coach Larry Selchow. "Bethany had a great meet with her personal best."
St. Cloud Tech won the team title with 147.7. Willmar finished eighth with 124.9.

Tech's Alise Post won the all-around title with a 37.65.
