Krista Hanson and Shawn Swenson, both of Moorhead, are engaged to be married Dec. 31 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar
Hanson is the daughter of Kevin and Sandy Hanson of Willmar.
She is a 2006 graduate of Willmar Senior High School and expects to graduate in 2011 from Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in early childhood and special education. She is employed by Access of the Red River Valley in Moorhead as a direct care provider.
Swenson is the son of Craig and Pat Swenson of Hancock.
He is a 2005 graduate of Hancock High School and a 2010 graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is employed by the North Dakota Democratic NPL Party in Fargo as a campaign organizer.
