Harry Lietz
April 12, 1923 - April 15, 2006
OSAKIS -- Harry Lietz, 83, of Osakis, formerly of Montevideo and Benson, died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Osakis Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens in Montevideo.
Arrangements are with Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis.

He was born April 12, 1923, in Grace Township, Chippewa County, to Fred and Alma (Garbe) Lietz. He grew up there on the farm.
He married Viona Tiechert on April 26, 1944, in Benson. They farmed with his parents and then moved to their own farm in rural Benson. He drove gravel trucks for Duininck Brothers. They moved to a farm near Deer Creek and then to Blaine in 1964. They later moved to Fridley where he worked as a union electrician for 13 years. They moved to San Diego, Calif., and he worked at a nuclear power plant. They moved to Osakis in 1982. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 292.
He is survived by his wife; daughter: Florence (and Jerry) Grewe of Long Prairie; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two siblings: LeRoy (and Vione) Lietz of Benson and Ruth Mae Johnson of DeGraff.
He was preceded in death by one son: Wayne Lietz; one grandson; one sister and two infant brothers.
