GRANITE FALLS -- Harry William Olson, 97, of Granite Falls, died Friday at the Granite Falls Manor.
The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and continue during a luncheon immediately following the service in the church basement.

He was born Aug. 13, 1908, near Brooten to Gilbert and Henrietta (Halvorson) Olson. He grew up in the Brooten area.
On Aug. 13, 1941, he married Ruth Maria Egge. He served in the United States Army in World War II. He was a manager for Penney's Department Stores until 1953 and then managed VSC Department Stores in Glenwood and Granite Falls until retiring in 1976. He was a charter president of the Lion's Club in both Glenwood and Alexandria and was a member of Granite Falls Lutheran Church and the Granite Falls American Legion. He was a 50 Master Mason and received several awards for his service to Granite Falls. He was also the equipment manager for Yellow Medicine East High School for many years.
He is survived by his son: Gil (and Beth) Olson of St. Anthony; two grandsons and a brother: Roy (and Bette) Olson of Vancouver, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985; three brothers; and one sister.
