SACRED HEART -- Harvey Harold Sietsema, 74, of Sacred Heart died Wednesday at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Zion United Methodist Church in Danube. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
He was born May 24, 1931, on the family farm in Holland Township, south of Raymond, to Henry and Grace (Fischer) Sietsema. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Raymond High School in 1949. He drove truck until March 1951, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1954.

He married Geraldine Skrukrud on Sept. 25, 1953, in Sacred Heart. They moved to Sacred Heart in 1976. He worked as a truck driver, sold insurance, and worked at Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. He semi-retired in 1993.
He is survived by his wife; children: Charles (and Twyla) of Danube, Bradley (and Marlys) of Renville, Jacqueline (and David) Jaenisch of Sioux Valley, Toni (and Steven) Reynolds of Dawson; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and siblings: Esther Gilsrud of Raymond, Alice Sietsema of Edina, Russell Sietsema of Raymond, Kenneth (and Arlene) Sietsema of Willmar, Lyla (and Lee) Kapsner of Princeton, Beatrice (and Charles) Olson of Willmar and Marlene (and Marvin) Noe of Sauk Centre.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
