DAWSON -- Hazel Doris Pederson, 83, of Dawson, formerly of Boyd, died Thursday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson.
The service will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo.
She was born April 27, 1923, in Minneapolis to Frederick and Lillian (Anderson) Couture. She grew up in Minneapolis and attended Central High School.

She married Donald Pederson in 1941 in Minneapolis. They lived in Little Falls, Minneapolis and Excelsior. She moved to Boyd in 1985. She moved to Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson two years ago.
She is survived by two daughters: Helen Vogt of Aberdeen, S.D., Merry Sue (and Tom) Nelson of Boyd; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Vie Kirkwold of Minneapolis and Helen Paulson of Sun City, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967; one daughter: Joan Olson in 2004; and one sister.
