Hazel T. Johnson
April 28, 1910 - April 15, 2006
CLARKFIELD -- Hazel Trudella Johnson, 95, of Clarkfield, formerly Hazel Run, died Saturday at Riverside Assisted Living in Granite Falls.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Burial will be at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at Hazel Run Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to the time of the service at the church. Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.

She was born April 28, 1910, to Hans and Thrina (Gunderson) Johnson. She grew up in the Clarkfield and Hazel Run communities and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1929. She attended St. Cloud Teachers College but returned to Clarkfield in 1931 to help with the family farm when her father died.
She worked in the Clarkfield school cafeteria for many years. She lived briefly in Willmar, caring for her sister Thelma and also working at Rice Memorial Hospital and the Willmar Care Center. She moved back to Clarkfield in the 1970s.
She was a member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a 4-H leader and helped establish the Hazel Run-Stony Run 4-H club. She was a member of the Clarkfield Garden Club, Homemakers and the hospital auxiliary.
Survivors include 13 nieces and nephews: Marilyn (and Roger) Nelson, Ardis (and Lloyd) Pedersen, Ardith (and James) Lund, Wanda (and William) Krause, Gladys Johnson, Karen (and Clem) Gittens, Warren (and Lorraine), Howell (and Joyce), Guy Ll. (and Yvonne), Harvey (and Toni) Johnson, Keith (and Georgia), Ronald (and Judy), Robert (and Sharon) Edmunds.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
