Health care reform informational meeting set Thursday in Litchfield

LITCHFIELD - A public informational meeting on the MNsure health insurance exchange will be Thursday at the Litchfield Public Library in Litchfield. This meeting, which is being sponsored by the Land Stewardship Project, will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and is free and open to the public.
Minnesota is currently in the process of rolling out new health care programs and is nearing the March 31 deadline for enrollment in health insurance coverage. The Litchfield meeting is intended to help people get a better understanding of the health insurance options available through MNsure, including Medicaid, MinnesotaCare, the health insurance marketplace and premium subsidies.
The presentations will focus on options and opportunities available to individuals and families for getting better, more affordable health insurance. Land Stewardship Project staff will also touch on the implications for small businesses.
