There will be a "Friends of Cory" Scholarship Fundraiser Aug. 9 at the American Legion in Granite Falls.
Hegna, who would have been a senior at Yellow Medicine East this fall, died in an all-terrain accident July 6. He was a baseball and football player.
The fundraiser will be a taco and baked potato feed from 5-7 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.
Camouflage t-shirts and bracelets will also be available to purchase with all proceeds going to the scholarship fund.
