NORTH REDWOOD -- Heidi Kay LaBatte, 44, of North Redwood, formerly of Granite Falls, died Monday in Redwood Falls.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Upper Sioux Multi Purpose Building in rural Granite Falls.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. today until the start of service at the Multi Purpose Building. Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls.
She was born Sept. 28, 1963, in Minneapolis to Joseph and Muriel (Shipley) Hawkins. She was later adopted by Herbert Wilson Sr. and Camilla Wilson. She grew up and attended school in Clarkfield.

She married Gordon LaBatte in 1993. She worked as a certified nursing assistant in Granite Falls. Then she lived in North Redwood.
She belonged to 4-H. She also participated in pool and dart leagues.
She is survived by her husband: Gordon LaBatte of Wisconsin; her father: Joseph Hawkins of Wisconsin; her mother: Muriel Hawkins of International Falls; children: Stephanie LaBatte, Jocelyn LaBatte and Autumn LaBatte, Gordon LaBatte, Jr., all of Granite Falls; and four brothers: Herbert Wilson, Jr. of Clarkfield, Wesley Shipley, James Shipley and Clinton Shipley, all of International Falls.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents; one brother; and her ex-partner: Reginald Wayne LaBatte.
