NEW LONDON -- Helen Clarice Dwyer, 81, of New London died Sunday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in New London and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born July 28, 1926, in Warren to Clarence and Irene (Olson) Bakke. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School and then went through X-ray training at Miller Hospital in St. Paul.
She married Francis Dwyer on Aug. 29, 1947, in St. Paul. They lived in Redwood Falls and late, on Diamond Lake near Atwater. Then they lived in New London. Francis died in 1994. At the age of 70, she went back to work at AMI in Spicer.

They were members of Peace Lutheran Church in New London where she was in Bible study and a church work group. She later volunteered as a grandmother at Prairie Woods Elementary School.
She is survived by her children: Cathy (and Steve) LaCount of Owatonna, Nancy (and Gerry) Fladeboe of New London, Sue (and Steve) Drummond of Alexandria and Pat Dwyer of New London; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law: Lynn Dwyer of New London; and a sister: Mary (and Paul) Phillips of Long Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.
